The goal of this self-paced training is to show learners how to put together simpler, realistic activities at their health departments that can regularly be held and attended by an interdisciplinary team. While this training is grounded in a Michigan context, the framework and best practices can be applied in other states and settings.
Expected results: After completing this activity, participants will be able to collaborate with various stakeholders and utilize correct procedures in outbreak investigations. They will be able to plan for effective outbreak investigation activities before an outbreak. They will be able to build department capacity, execute proper training, and properly utilize the proficiency of the public workforce. Lastly, they will be able to respond to everyday emergencies using multiple scenarios.
